INTRODUCTION:
Gorkha United Public Higher Secondary
School (GUHSS) is a joint venture of
retired British Gurkhas and
Singapore Police, established in
1999 A.D.It
has been 'a tradition' that the
students from this region migrate
towards eastern belt of Nepal or
towards different cities of India
for their studies. In a bit to
change this trend, GUPHSS has emerged
as a unique school with a vision to
impart a quality education to the
student at an affordable price.
Over the years of excelling, spread over 1.6 hectares
of land; GUPHSS acquires its own Academic & Administrative Buildings, Science
Labs, Computer Lab, Library,
Audio-Visual Room, Playing Arena,
Hostel, Dining Hall, Football,
Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket and
Badminton Ground; it has also been
able to stop exodus of the pupils
and has become the ultimate destiny
of any learner in the region.
The vision of the

diverse backgrounds
and from all corner
of the country have

education. Over the
years, GUHSS has set

It was indeed a matter of pride for the school family to have a visit from Capt R. Roberts in Gorkha United (British Gorkha Pokhara) and we are grateful to him for donating Rs. 10,000 for the school. The school management has donated that amount to Schools’ Children Fund for the welfare of the students. Furthermore, Capt R. Roberts was highly impressed with the achievements made by ex-servicemen and has promised to find an English Volunteer teacher for the school.
KRISA DANCE COMPETITION-2069:
According to academic calendar, KRISA organized the SCHOOL LEVEL DANCE COMPETITION on 3rd Ashoj 2069. 17 schools had participated in the competition and our school GORKHA UNITED secured 1st position among them. Winner of the Dance Competition were rewarded with the certificates and cash prize.
TEEJ DANCE FESTIVAL-2069:
Every year school organizes Housewise Teej Dance/Song Competition on the occasion of Teej. This year also on 1st Ashoj 2069, competition was held among four houses and Yellow House secured 1st position in both Teej Dance/Song Competition. Along with this male staffs of Gorkha United organized DAR KHANE PROGRAMME to the female staffs on the same day and celebrated with lots of joy and Teej Dance.

BEST HSEB RESULT OF XII [SCIENCE] IN BANKE DISTRICT:
School has been able to achieve the pass percentage 88.60% which is the highest pass percentage in the Banke district along with the student Umesh Sharma with 78.60%, the topper of the school. The school family would like to convey all the good wishes to all the students for their bright future ahead.
ONCE AGAIN SCHOOL HAS ACHIEVED THE NATIONAL AWARD:
Once again the school has been rewarded with National Award to run the SLC examination in a very effective manner under the supervision of SLC superintendent Mr. Rajendra Bahadur Gurung. The examination controller office, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, Nepal Government allocated the cash prize of Rs. 15,000 for school and Rs. 10,000 for the superintendent which was indeed an honour and incredible achievement for the school.
ACCOMPLISHMENT OF SLC RESULT 2068..
It's indeed a matter of pleasure and pride for GUPHSS for having achieved 100% result in the SLC examination-2068. Among 66 students Nitin B.C. has ranked at the top with 83.60%, 61 with 1st Division and 1 with 2nd Division.
On the other hand Suruchi Budhathoki secured 1st position in District Level Dance Competition organized by DEO, Banke. Navin Oli, secured 2nd position in playing Musical Instrument. Suruchi is now going to participate in Regional Level Dance Competition. Similarly the students of GUPHSS grabbed the 2nd and 3rd position in Science Exhibition organized by DEO, Banke.

RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS:
Once again, our students have proved themselves that they are tremendous in academics as well as co-curricular wise.
All the three participants Miss Roshani Gaudel-IX, Master Shreesti Paudel-VII and Master Salon Basnet-V grabbed the FIRST POSITION in their respective levels in the Inter School Elocution Competition organized by KRISA, Kohalpur, Banke held on 2068/10/27.

Similarly, Our students Master Bishnu Giri-X, Miss Roshani Gaudel-IX and Master Akshaya Rawal stood SECOND POSITION in Secondary level Quiz Competition among 40 schools ( PABSON/N-PABSON/Community Schools) of Banke District held on 2068/10/28 and awarded by Dictionary Books, Certificates, Trophy with Cash amount Rs. 7,000. Which was organized by Sadabhabh Dainik, Banke. District Education Officer, Banke, Mr. Bhakta Bahadur Dhakal was the Chief Guest of the programme.
